Accretion  Accrétion
1) Continental accretion - A process of continental growth in which fragments of the crust are attached (accreted) to continents during plate motion and collision (adapted from: Grotzinger et al., 2007).

2) Planetary accretion - The process of building large bodies of matter through collisions and gravitational attraction (Plummer et al, 2007).
