Uniform Pressure  Pression uniforme
Designates the condition where the magnitudes of the pressures exerted on a body are equal in all directions (e.g. pressure felt by sediments buried under a thick blanket of overburden; also called lithostatic pressure). A body submitted to uniform pressure will deform accordingly, and keep the same proportions as the initial body.
